Box office: Lipstick Under My Burkha's Monday collections are better than Friday

Munna Michael has generated poor numbers in the first four days.

Alankrita Shrivastava’s Lipstick Under My Burkha has been showing good improvement at the box office. The film had earned Rs5.30 crore on weekend. Yesterday, it passed the difficult Monday test by making Rs1.20 crore, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

In this way, the film collected more on Monday than on Friday, when it made Rs1.10 crore. Such a thing happens when the film receives very positive word-of-mouth and this is exactly what has happened with Lipstick Under My Burkha.

The film’s total collection currently stands at Rs6.50 crore. It is made at a budget of Rs10 crore (adjusted) approximately. Hence, it looks like a safe bet for its producer Prakash Jha.

On the other hand, Tiger Shroff starrer Munna Michael saw a big 50% drop yesterday as it made only Rs3 crore. The Sabbir Khan directed film, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has so far earned only Rs24.12 crore approximately.

The film is reportedly made at a budget of Rs45 crore. With such numbers so far, it doesn’t have much of a chance of even reaching its budget figure.
