Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are set to unite for the third time with Namastey Canada that will be directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The director-producer had last year announced Namastey England that was to star Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. However, Namastey England is not being made and instead Shah is making Namastey Canada .

Buzz has it that Kumar wasn’t happy with the script and walked out. Sinha, who was cast as the female protagonist, too is out of the project. The director has made it clear that Namastey Canada is not sequel to Namastey London (2007).

“I want to set the record straight. Namastey Canada is not a sequel to Namastey London. I thank Akshay for standing by me and being graceful about sharing the title with me. I'm also happy that Arjun and Parineeti agreed to join me on this journey. I hope this film becomes one of their best outings together,” Shah told The Times Of India.

Both the actors signed up for lead roles expressed their enthusiasm for the project. Kapoor is grateful to the director for selecting him for the role, "I'm excited to be a part of this project. After working with giants like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, he has chosen me. Namastey Canada has heart and humour, making it a family entertainer."

Chopra said that she had been waiting for such a role: "This is exactly the film I was looking for. It's a desi story with a videshi heart. I'm excited to be directed by Vipul sir with who I have shared an amazing friendship over the last few years,” Chopra said.
