Sunny Leone has been making waves for item numbers more than her films. After the sizzling 'Laila Main Laila' track from Raees (2017), Leone is back raising the temperatures in the 'Piya More' song from Baadshaho.
The highlight of the song is a topless Leone bathing in a barrel, a sight that will leave her fans intoxicated. We also saw Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif covering their modesty with jute baskets in Jagga Jasoos (2017). There’s not much choreography in the track except for Leone heaving and sighing. No disrespect meant to Emraan Hashmi or his fans.
Lyricist Manoj Muntashir has penned pretty neat and simple lyrics that rhyme and sync well with the theme. Ankit Tiwari has scored a decent mix with peppy desi pop tunes.
Item songs are no good if the playback singers don’t have a sensual voice. Neeti Mohan sings the song sensually, outshining Mika completely. You can’t help but marvel at the way she emphasises on the word 'awaara'. Mohan’s style of singing here will partly take you back to the Geeta Dutt and Shamshad Begum era.
It is Mohan and Leone who make 'Piya More' a thoroughly entertaining, sensual and soothing track. Baadshaho is set to be released on 1 September.
