Ranbir Kapoor’s maiden production Jagga Jasoos has simply failed to get going at the box office. The mixed reviews didn't help and the film earned a meagre Rs43.75 crore nett in its first week, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
It is still the seventh highest week one collection of 2017, but the film was made on a bugdet of over Rs100 crore.
Disney India released the film across just 1,800 screens in India.
The film's week one collection pales in comparison to Hrithik Roshan’s Republic Day release Kaabil, which had bagged Rs58.92 crore in its first week. Kaabil on the other hand, was made at a budget of Rs60 crore, excluding Roshan's fees.
