Priyanka Chopra was one of the big name absentees at the recent International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in New York. The actress was busy ringing in her 36th birthday with her family at a private party on an island. From the pictures put up on her Instagram, it is easy to understand why Chopra might not regret giving the award functions a miss.
The actress, who has had a busy year with the release of Baywatch (2017) and the shuttling between Mumbai and New York, took a deserved break with her family, mother Madhu and brother Siddharth in tow.

Naturally, Chopra did not step out of her fashionable self while celebrating her birthday.

The family certainly went all out to bring in Chopra's 36th year. Mother Madhu surprised the actress with a bright-candle lit wish on the sandy beach. 'Island girl... feeling very blessed and loved. Despite the celebratory mood, the actress did not forget her fans. Taking to Instagram, she sent out a video thanking her fans for wishing her on her birthday. 'I am really really overwhelmed with the love that everyone wished me,' said the Quantico star.
