Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is back with Bareilly Ki Barfi. After the makers of the film released the first poster, featuring a hidden Kriti Sanon, yesterday, the second poster has arrived. With Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanon front and centre, the second poster sheds some light on the film.
The poster shows the trio sharing a laugh while sitting on a cart. The colour coded attire and the casual smile of the trio adds to the light nature of Tiwari's film. Incidentally, the director recently revealed that the film is an adaptation of the French bestseller, Ingredients Of Love. The book is a romantic tale of a young restaurateur who sets out to find the author of her favourite romantic novel. It is likely that Sanon plays the smitten restaurateur, named Bitti, in the film.
The trailer for the film is expected to be released later today.
Speaking to the daily, The Times Of India, Tiwari revealed that she stumbled upon the book during a stop at the Delhi airport, and was taken in by it. She even got her husband, Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari, to read the book. She said, "was tired, but I couldn’t put the book down. I even made Nitesh read it and he agreed that the basic story could become the theme for a film."
The screenplay for the film based on the book, reportedly by German author Daniela Thiele under the pseudonym Nicholas Barreau, has been written by Nitesh himself. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on 18 August.
