Box office: Jagga Jasoos witnesses 70% fall in nett earnings on Monday 


The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer film bagged a meagre Rs3.75 crore nett on its first Monday, taking the total to Rs35.5 crore in four days.

The fate of Ranbir Kapoor’s Jagga Jasoos looks sealed with its gloomy performance at the box office. The film witnessed a 70% drop in Monday's collection vis-a-vis Sunday, making only Rs3.75 crore nett. The adventure, romantic, comedy film directed by Anurag  Basu has made a meagre total of Rs35.5 crore nett since its release on Friday, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com

Made on a budget of over Rs100 crore, the film has been released across 1,800 screens in India. The opening day (14 July) saw a revenue of Rs8.25 crore nett which improved marginally to Rs11 crore and Rs.12.50 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. 

Jagga Jasoos is the last Hindi production from Disney after the American production giant shut its Hindi film production arm in India.

Come Friday (21 July), two new films will be released. Tiger Shroff's Munna Michael and Prakash Jha produced Lipstick Under My Burkha. Among the English films to be released are Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk and William Oldroyd's Lady Macbeth.
