The poster of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Bareilly Ki Barfi is out. The film has an interesting cast of Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon.

Coming after the critically acclaimed Nil Battey Sannata (2016), the filmmaker has had our hopes high.

The first poster of the film is colourful and funny; the look is impressive and generates an interest for the film. The poster only features Sanon with half her face covered by a book. The book is titled Bareilly Ki Barfi.

The film is based on a French novel titled Ingredients Of Love. Ashwiny’s husband and filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has written the script and adapted the novel into a desi setting. Talking to a publication, he said, “It's difficult to adapt any book into a film. The French settings are alien to us, so we've only retained the basic theme and infused our own colours, quirks and characters into the story. The parents, friends and lovers, their professions and their basic habits have all been adapted to our culture.”

Nitesh has so far written for films like Chillar Party (2011), Bhoothnath Returns (2014), Kill Dil (2014) and the biggest Hindi blockbuster, Dangal (2016). This would be the first time Nitish tries his hand at a romantic film. “I got time to work on the script because Ashwiny was caught up with the post-production of her first film. I just hope that the audience likes my first tryst with breezy cinema,” he added.

Bareilly Ki Barfi is all set to be released on 18 August.
