From Shraddha Kapoor to Vishal Dadlani, birthday wishes pour in for Farhan Akhtar 

One of the industry's most multi-talented individuals, Farhan Akhtar turns 43 years old today. Starting with the cult classic of Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Akhtar has paved his own way in the industry taking on the roles of directing, scriptwriting, acting and singing with equal elan. Many of his friends and colleagues from the industry decided to wish Akhtar on his special day. 

Unsurprisingly, Twitter was the preferred mode of wishing Akhtar. In fact, it was his rumoured girlfriend Shraddha Kapoor who was the earliest bird on the social media platform to tweet her wishes. The two starred together in Rock On 2(2016), and were reported to be close, but have denied the rumours. The friendship though continues on Twitter. 

Riteish Deshmukh too stepped into the act. 

Another co-star from Wazir(2016), Aditi Rao Hydari wished him more 'music' in his life. 

It would not really have computed if the other rockstar in the industry, Vishal Dadlani, had not added his wishes. 

Then, there was a fellow director in Kunal Kohli wishing Akhtar an apt Twitter birthday. 

The actor reportedly had a fun birthday, throwing a late night bash for close friends. Ritesh Sidhwani, Purab Kohli and Amrita Arora were spotted at the party. 

That is one way to start your 43rd. Here's to a happy birthday, Mr Farhan Akhtar!
