Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees is all set to become his first solo successful venture after quite some time. His last two films as the main lead — Dilwale (2015) and Fan (2016) — didn’t turn out to be box-office hits. So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the makers threw a success bash for the film last evening.
Going by the pictures and videos from the party on social media, it seems that not only Shah Rukh, but also others from the team, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Atul Kulkarni, Sunny Leone (who had a song appearance in the film), director Rahul Dholakia and producer Ritesh Sidhwani had a ball.
But there was one moment at the bash that could raise eyebrows. There was an indirect cold war between Raees and Kaabil, which also released alongside, to acquire more screens. During the media interaction, it seems Shah Rukh took a dig at Kaabil.
While answering a question about the film’s collections, Shah Rukh highlighted that there are different websites giving different numbers. He said, “There are as many collections as many sites. Everyone has different collections. So, I wanted to know your detailed collections too. So that we would know from which side you have come.” The last sentence had everyone in splits.
It will be interesting to see whether anyone from team Kaabil reacts to this.
