Shah Rukh Khan is neck deep with promotions of his upcoming film Raees, which will be released on 25 January. The actor will also be visiting Delhi, where he was born and brought up, to promote his film. However, there is a big twist. The superstar will be travelling from Mumbai to Delhi by train.
He, along with director Rahul Dholakia and producer Ritesh Sidhwani, will take the August Kranti Rajdhani Express today. But the makers haven’t booked a special train. They will be travelling with the normal public.
An official statement from the makers said that such type of promotions go well with the character of Raees. “As SRK’s character in Raees is very earthy and rooted, there is a subconscious connect with the train as a mode of transport which services masses. Our audiences have a strong connect with trains as it proves to be their everyday mode of transport. This time people are surely getting lucky as one of the biggest superstars will be right amidst them,” said the statement.
The train will leave from Mumbai Central station at 4:30 pm and will be reaching Hazrat Nizamuddin station tomorrow morning. It will stop over at Andheri, Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Baroda, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Modhopur and Mathura.
As Khan has been enjoying the tag of a superstar for years, it must be ages since he last ravelled by train.
