Even as he winds down the promotions for Rahul Dholakia's Raees, Shah Rukh Khan is out hunting for projects. Speaking to the media at the promotions for Raees, Khan admitted that he would not mind taking up another film in the hit franchise for Don further, provided Farhan Akhtar can get a story ready.

He said, "Don' is the only one which perhaps can have a sequel because we leave it like that every time, but Farhan doesn't have any story for 'Don 3' yet." During the promotions of his last film, Rock On 2 (2016), Akhtar had also admitted to not having a plan for Don 3. Although both actors have not denied the possibility of the film.

The actor starred in Don: The Chase Begins (2006), which was a remake of the hit Amitabh Bachchan classic, Don (1978). Akhtar and Khan teamed up again for a sequel to the franchise in Don 2 (2011), which also proved to be a successful hit.

Don is not the only franchise the actor is keen to work on, Khan also mentioned that there was a sequel planned for Ra.One (2011). The failure of the film, however, caused the plans for the sequel to be shelved.

For now, Khan continues to be busy with the promotions of Raees, where he plays a bootlegger in 80s Gujarat. The film is directed by Dholakia, and also stars Mahira Khan.

Raees is set to be released on 25 February.
