Priyanka Chopra's red carpet journey continues through the new year. The actress has been named as one of the presenters for the Golden Globes 2017 awards. Chopra has been named alongside Goldie Hawn, Nicole Kidman, Eddie Redmayne, Timothy Olyphant and Diego Luna as a presenter for the prestigious ceremony.
Slated to be held on 8 January, the ceremony is one of the most touted events of the year. It is also the signalling of the beginning of awards season, with the Oscars soon to follow in February. The announcement was made by the official handle of the Golden Globes on Twitter.
The actress is speculated to present the winners of awards for movies and television for the year 2016, alongside Amy Schumer, Zoe Saldana, Drew Barrymore, Steve Carell, Matt Damon, Viola Davis and Laura Dern among others. Television host Jimmy Fallon is expected to play host to the entire ceremony.
Chopra proved to be the headliner in 2015 with her appearance as a presenter alongside Liev Schreiber at the 2015 Oscar ceremony, followed by her turn at the Emmys alongside Tom Hiddleston. Her performances in Quantico aside, the actress earned quite the praise on social media for her fashion statement on the red carpet.
It looks like she is keeping up appearances in the new year as well.
