Akshay Kumar is all for experimenting in 2017. The actor is already part of a uniquely named film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, to be released this year. Now, Kumar has been roped in by wife, Twinkle Khanna, to play the lead in her debut production, Padman.
The first production of Khanna's banner, MrsFunnyBones Films, is titled after the ubiquitous sanitary napkin. The film is being written and directed by R Balki. The poster was shared on Kumar's Twitter page, with the tags of '100% cotton' and 'fresh' adding to the authenticity of the image.

The story is speculated to be based on Khanna's book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, which came out in 2016. The story revolves around Arunachalam Muruganathan who campaigned extensively for menstrual hygiene in rural India.
The Khiladi Kumar has quite the list of movies lined up for 2017 with 2.0, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Jolly LLB 2 set for release. It looks like the actor is set to walk down an off-beaten path for the new year.
