The superstar interacted with namesakes Raees at a promotional event for his upcoming film of the same name.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees is first of the most keenly awaited films of 2017. The first trailer of the film created the right noise for it. This was vital for Shah Rukh as he is badly in need of a big hit after his last two films, Dilwale (2015) and Fan (2016), failed to set the box-office on fire.
But despite the positive buzz, the superstar is leaving no stone unturned while marketing the film, for which he is well-known. This was seen yesterday when he indulged in a unique activity as part of Raees’ promotional campaign.
Shah Rukh met 11 real-life people called Raees. The 11 people were shortlisted through a process. They are common people from various professions. Needless to say, they were delighted to have got a chance to have a candid meet and interaction with the superstar. Shah Rukh interacted with them regarding their profession and the story behind their names.
The meet happened at a suburban studio in Mumbai, few hours before the actor gave interviews for the film.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees also stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and will be released on 25 January. The film will be clashing with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, which is directed by Sanjay Gupta.
