Shaadi Ali’s OK Jaanu registered poor first weekend collections. The Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur film managed to earn only Rs11.75 crore in the first three days. After garnering such numbers, the film was expected to fail the enormous first Monday test.
That is exactly what has happened. The movie, which is the official remake of Mani Ratnam’s highly-appreciated OK Kanmani (2015), managed to earn only Rs1.50 crore on the day, which is less than half of its collection on Sunday.

It’s overall total now stands at a paltry Rs13.25 crore, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com. As OK Jaanu is reportedly made at a budget of Rs28 crore, its chances of even recovering the cost are next to nil.
Deepika Padukone’s much talked about Hollywood debut, xXx: Return Of Xander Cage released a day later on Saturday in India. The film had its paid previews on Friday. Its first weekend collection stood at Rs15.25 crore. This one too didn’t fare well in the Monday test as it earned only Rs2.50 crore.
