Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are all set for the first big clash of 2017 when their films Raees and Kaabil release on 25 January. Hrithik’s last clash at the box-office happened last year when his Mohenjo Daro clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom on Independence Day.
Just before the release of both films, Salman Khan had picked his favourite of the two by sending good wishes to Akshay for Rustom. But for Raees-Kaabil clash, it seems the Sultan is supporting both films.
It all happened when Salman and Shah Rukh’s Karan Arjun (1995) completed 22 years three days ago. The film was directed by Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan. Therefore, the Kaabil actor, in his early 20s, was one of the assistants.
Salman got nostalgic on the occasion yesterday and shared an old picture of him, Shah Rukh and Hrithik from the sets of Karan Arjun on Twitter. Interestingly, he wished Shah Rukh and Duggu (Hrithik's pet name) for their upcoming releases. A day after, Hrithik’s debut film Kaho Na Pyar Hai (2000) completed 17 years. The Dabangg actor wished him on that occasion too.
He captioned the picture, “Thanx rakeshji 4 giving @iamsrk n me #21yearsofKaranArjun, Congrats duggu on #17YearsOfKNPH @iHrithik . Best of luck Raees & Kaabil 25Jan .”
It seems Salman made a mistake counting the years since the film completed 22 years and not 21.
It will be interesting to know Salman’s opinion on Raees and Kaabil once they release.
