In a major development, a court in Jodhpur has summoned actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam in the infamous 1998 black buck poaching case. The instructions were given by chief judicial magistrate, Dalpat Singh after examining the witnesses today.

Khan is the main accused in the crime which allegedly happened in 1998 in Jodhpur during the shoot of Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum Saath Saath Hain. He is accused of poaching an endangered black buck and possession of illegal arms.

The rest of the actors are co-accused who had allegedly accompanied the Sultan actor when the incident reportedly took place.

The verdict on Khan regarding the illegal arms case will be pronounced here on 18 January. The superstar has been ordered to be present for this hearing as well.

Last year, he was acquitted by the Bombay high court of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case.
