Aamir Khan is the toast of the nation with Dangal smashing records at the box-office. Last evening, the star took time out to express his gratitude to fans as he spoke to the media via a teleconference.
Aamir was never known to be part of the rat race, and he underlined yet again how he was only competing with himself.
"I'm only competing with myself. I don't compete with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar or anyone. However, when my colleagues do great work, it always inspires me," Aamir said via teleconference.
When asked which were his favourite films his colleagues acted in, Aamir surprised all with his choices.
“I really liked many of Shah Rukh's films, especially Chak De! India, Swades, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge)", added Aamir.
Dangal has set the record for the highest domestic nett collection bagging close to Rs350 crore in three weeks. Aamir thanked his fans for the wonderful response to the film.
Dangal review: Aamir Khan and his daughters score a win
"I am amazed by the reaction that Dangal has received. People have loved the film so much. It is very rare to get such kind of a reaction," he said.
Dangal is based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and how he helped his daughters achieve their Olympic dream.
