Acclaimed actor and director Amole Gupte is ready with his next directorial venture, Sniff. Produced by Eros International, Sniff is a children's adventure drama. The makers unveiled the first poster and also announced 5 May as its release date.

Sniff is about a little spy in the making. Child actor Khushmeet Gill plays the lead. The reflection of Gill's character as a little Sardar boy on the wheel plate of a car reflects both the protagonist’s innocence, as well his spy instincts. The Sikh community often keeps a close eye on the way the community is projected in the media, and hopefully the poster of Sniff will not be offensive to anyone.

'Danger ki kya smell hoti hai?' is an innovative tagline and the film is bound to provide some exhilarating and 'dangerous' spy action.

Gupte had directed the critically acclaimed 2011 children’s film Stanley Ka Dabba, with his son Partho bagging the National Award for the best child artist. Though he was uncredited as director, Gupte had penned the Aamir-Khan directed path-breaking film Taare Zameen Par (2007). The actor-filmmaker has since directed two children’s films — Stanley Ka Dabba and Hawaa Hawaai (2014).
