It's official! Sonam Kapoor, Radhika Apte to act with Akshay Kumar in Padman 

In December 2016, we reported about Twinkle Khanna launching her own production house, Mrs Funnybones Movies. Her production house is now co-producing Padman with R Balki, starring her husband Akshay Kumar. Buzz is that Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte will be Kumar's leading ladies in Padman.

Kapoor confirmed the development via a post on her Instagram account.

While Apte did not confirm the development, she had retweeted Kumar’s 1 January post on Padman.

The visuals speak for themselves, with the film said to be inspired by a true story. While Kapoor has worked with Kumar before in Thank You (2011), it will be Apte's first film with the actor.
