The Ghazi Attack trailer: Finally a submarine film Indian cinema deserves

There is something to be said about the lack of Indian films on the navy. Dharma Productions' The Ghazi Attacks looks to set right this wrong. Based on the famous covert operation by the Indian navy to sink the Pakistani submarine, PNS Ghazi, the trailer of the film holds promise for fans waiting for a proper naval battle on screen. 

The trailer offers a crisp background into how the naval battle came to be during the fierce Indo-Pak war of 1971. Kay Kay Menon plays the commanding officer of the submarine, INS Karanj, and looks to be in fine form delivering the punchline of the trailer. Rana Daggubati delivers some command with his role as the captain of the submarine, while Taapsee Pannu adds a bit of mystery to the narrative. 

Voiced by the deep baritone of Amitabh Bachchan, the trailer carries the heavy feel of a serious war film. The pulsating music and the special effects add to the thrill of the trailer. The film has the added attraction of being one of Om Puri's last performances on screen. With Atul Kulkarni and Nasser adding to the powerhouse of talents in the film, it promises some good action for war movie fans. 

Directed by Sankalp Reddy, and produced jointly by Dharma Productions and AA Films, The Ghazi Attack is set to arrive in theatres on 17 February.
