Though his Rustom had clashed with Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro last year, the Khiladi wished him success for Kaabil, which clashes with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees.

Last August, they were competing against each other, but both Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar did not let that affect their ties. Both actors live in the same apartment block in Juhu, northwest Mumbai.
While Akshay Kumar’s Rustom scored over Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro at the box office on the Independence Day weekend, there has been no drop in the respect the actors have for each other.
With Hrithik Roshan turning 43 today, Akshay Kumar greeted him and wished him luck for his Republic Day clash at the box office with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. He tweeted the following:
May #Kaabil and everything else in your life touch super-heroic heights! A very happy birthday @iHrithik ðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ

While Akshay Kumar has cordial relations with most people in the Hindi film industry, he is not Khan's best buddy. Sure, the duo are cordial with each other, but Khan's self-importance in his heyday not so long ago was a sore point with Akshay Kumar, as indeed it was with many other film personalities who are not as outspoken.
About seven years ago, Akshay Kumar had told journalists that he gets annoyed when actors keep referring to themselves as kings. The barb was aimed at Shah Rukh Khan, who has never shied away from blowing his own trumpet. At that time, Akshay Kumar had made the telling comment that the only actor deserving of such a title was Amitabh Bachchan.
Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar have had their own share of box-office clashes, most famously in 2006, when Don competed with the latter's Jaan-e-Mann.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor also sent his best wishes to Hrithik Roshan and Kaabil.
May #Kaabil and everything else in your life touch super-heroic heights! A very happy birthday @iHrithik ðÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ

In 2014, Kapoor’s Haider had competed with Hrithik Roshan's Bang Bang. The former was more critically acclaimed, but the latter, despite poor reviews, went on to bag over Rs180 crore at the domestic box office. Despite that clash, Kapoor and Roshan have remained cordial with each other. As promised, each also saw the other’s film.
