Just when the whole hubbub over Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan's gigantic clash with Kaabil and Raees has ended, another one has appeared on the horizon. Director Ram Gopal Varma tweeted the release date of his next, Sarkar 3, on 7 April.
Tweeting on his personal account, Varma wrote:
Sarkar 3 to release on April 7th..On My Birthday😌 pic.twitter.com/mjOGmiBino

RGV's film was earlier slated to release on 17 March. Even Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted his happiness at the early release date, suggesting that it would be better for the film. However, Varma has other plans, and has scheduled the film's release on the same day as his birthday.
This would have seemed like an understandable move, except that Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos is set to release on 7 April as well. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, Basu's film is also hitting the screens after a long delay. The shooting for the film had begun way back in March 2014.
At this point, it is difficult to say if the two films will have the same impact on each other's profits a la Kaabil and Raees. Considering the unpleasant nature in the clash between Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan, one can only hope that this one is a little more amicable.
