This is not the first time that the Bajirao Mastani actor has paid tribute to Shah Rukh Khan, in his own hilarious way.

Aditya Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) remains one of the most loved Hindi romantic film even 22 years after its release. So much that the Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer is still playing in Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir cinema. The last scene from the film where Raj helps Simran get into the train has become an iconic one for Hindi cinema fans. Now, Ranveer Singh has come up with his own version of the train scene. He recently shared a video on Twitter where he is seen reaching out from a train just like SRK in DDLJ, with one little difference.
While Shah Rukh Khan had it easy pulling Kajol onto the moving train, Singh had quite the challenge in front of him. The person running towards Singh in this tribute video was choreographer Ganesh Acharya. In another twist to the tale, instead of getting Acharya into the train, Ranveer ends up falling on the platform.

This stunt is performed by trained Filmys. Do not try this at home. Or at the train station.

The scene from DDLJ has become quite iconic, and been paid tribute quite a few times in other films. In fact, SRK himself recreated the scene in Chennai Express (2013).
As for Ranveer Singh, this is not the first time that the Bajirao Mastani actor has paid tribute to SRK. A few months ago, he recreated Khan’s famous ‘Tu Mere Saamne’ song from Darr (1993) on snow-peaked Swiss mountains.
Just before the release of Fan (2016), Ranveer did a Dubsmash of the title song of the film.

Now that he has tried to pose as the King Khan, it would be interesting to see if he manages to get a role opposite him. It would be a fanboy moment to watch.
