Actress Divya Dutta’s newest venture is a book on her late mother, Nalini Dutta. Writing the book in just three months, Dutta calls the book, titled Me & Ma, as a tribute to her mother who she called her best friend and soul mate.
Apart from writing a column in the daily newspaper, Hindustan Times, Dutta had no prior experience of this magnitude. But she explained to Hindustan Times, “Writing the book was an emotional journey. I was extremely close to her, and after I lost her, I had so much to share about her. None of this was pre-planned. Through my book, I have relieved every bit of my childhood and my years growing up. Although this book is about my mother, every single person will relate to it. A mother’s love is unconditional, and every child will feel the same about their mothers when they read the book.”
