Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali turned 54 today. He received a warm birthday wish on his special day from actress Priyanka Chopra on Twitter.
Chopra wrote on her timeline: 'Happy birthday #SanjayLeelaBhansali U truly make an artist out of me every time we work together. Here's to many more years of your magic.' The filmmaker is not on Twitter or any other social networking site.
Chopra has worked with Bhansali twice. In Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-leela (2013), she made a cameo appearance in the song ‘Ram Chahe Leela’. Her big role with the filmmaker came in 2015 with Bajirao Mastani. Chopra received a lot of appreciation for her act as Kashibai.
Bhansali has had a tough time of late. He was assaulted on the sets of his upcoming film Padmavati by some ruffians who claimed that he was distorting history. The shooting of the film was later resumed.
Padmavati stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor and is scheduled to be released on 17 November.
