The latest track from Anushka Sharma's Phillauri is a quintessential Punjabi wedding song that has the spunk to match Anushka Sharma and Suraj Sharma's wackiness.

After the Sufi laden 'Dum dum dum', Anushka Sharma's Phillauri has raised the tempo for the audience with the snappy, bhangra beats of its latest song, 'What's up'. The first wedding song of the year, What's up, packs enough punch to get the audience on their feet and tapping.
Sung by the pair of Mika Singh and Jasleen Kaur, the song is upbeat and notched up by some wacky lyrics that make it the perfect DJ request on a Punjabi wedding. Mika Singh is in his element as he lends the right amount of loudness and rhythm to the song. Composed by Sashwat Sachdev and written by Anvita Dutt, the song adds to what is looking to be a fantastic musical album.
Featured on all the lead characters, the song also sees the appearance of actress Mehreen Pirzada. The song seems to focus on the two weddings, held in different eras, in the film. From whiskey guzzling aunties to dholaks and the infamous 'nagin' dance, the song has everything a loud Punjabi wedding should have.
The song has been preceded by an inventive promotional tactic that will see Anushka Sharma go invisible from promotional events. The makers of the film have released a phone number so fans can contact Anushka on Whatsapp. The concept of invisibility seems to be the centrepoint of the film's promotional strategy.

However, with songs like these, the promotion might just take care of itself. Sashwat Sachdev delivers a brilliantly upbeat number that will catch the attention of fans.
Phillauri is directed by Anshai Lal, and stars Anushka Sharma, Suraj Sharma, Mehreen Pirzada, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 24 March.
