Varun Dhawan is quite the busy body. Even as he is preparing for the release of Badrinath Ki Dulhania this Holi, while also joining the shooting schedule for Judwaa 2, the actor has also signed up for another film with Shoojit Sircar.
The film will be directed by Shoojit Sircar and will see Dhawan play a darker, more grim character than his usual roles. DNA quoted a source as saying, "The actor and the filmmaker have been in discussions for a while and have finally locked the script. Varun has loved what Shoojit has envisioned."
The last time Dhawan played a character with dark shades was in Sriram Raghavan's Badlapur (2015). The actor received critical acclaim for his performance as a man obsessed by vengeance. The source was quoted as saying it was his performance in Badlapur that convinced Sircar to pick Dhawan for this role.
For now, the actor continues to be involved in the promotions of soon to release Badrinath Ki Dulhania. He will also be seen in the remake of the 1997 Salman Khan hit, Judwaa 2.
