Beliebers (fans of Justin Bieber) in India were pleasantly surprised when the pop singer announced that he was going to perform in India as part of the Purpose Tour. The concert is scheduled to take place at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on 10 May. Celebrity fans are expected to attend the concert, and reports suggest that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are likely to perform at the concert.
The promoters for the concert, White Fox India, have confirmed approaching a few Bollywood stars to grace the show.
Arjun Jain, director, White Fox India, states, "We have already received confirmations from some of the biggest celebrities of India for the concert and will try to definitely integrate indigenous factors, including Bollywood and cricket as part of the event."
Meanwhile, buzz is that Badrinath Ki Dulhania co-stars Dhawan and Bhatt could be performing at the concert. So far there’s no confirmation from the two stars, but in a recent Twitter chat with fans, Dhawan had said he'd love to attend the Bieber concert.
Purpose is the fourth studio album by Bieber. Apart from India, the Asia leg of the tour comprises Tel Aviv in Israel and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
