With a title like Trapped, the plot becomes rather self-explanatory. The only questions that beg answers are, who is trapped, and where? Is it in a pit, a jungle, a cave, or a scam?
Well, Vikramaditya Motwane's protagonist in Trapped isn't trapped in any of the above. It may seem frivolous, but Shaurya (Rajkummar Rao) gets trapped inside an apartment, with the key pencilled in from the outside.
The makers have unveiled the teaser and, as one can see, Shaurya is trapped in an empty apartment in a new building, one whose residents haven’t moved in yet.
As he is exiting the flat, Shaurya remembers that he has left his phone inside and so goes back in to retrieve it, leaving the key in the keyhole. A gust of wind slams the door shut and bolted. There could be more here than meets the eye, but it appears that the inside door latch handle goes kaput as Shaurya tries to get out.
With not a soul in the building and the flat on one of the higher reaches, Shaurya remains trapped for 25 days. With no electricity or water, survival becomes a challenge.
