Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 earned a decent Rs72.98 crore in its first week. It continued its decent run in the second weekend too by earning Rs15.50 crore approximately in the three days — Rs3.50 crore, Rs5.50 crore and Rs6.50 crore, respectively.

The Subhash Kapoor-directed film’s grand total now stands at Rs88.48 crore, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

Jolly LLB 2 had earned Rs47.25 crore in the opening weekend. So, it was expected to amass much more in the first week than it did. According to BoxOfficeIndia, the film hasn’t found much acceptance in areas other than north India and that's why the film still hasn’t reached the magical three-figure mark.

Thankfully for the film, the three new releases — The Ghazi Attack, Running Shaadi and Irada — have proved to be failures at the box office. This is expected to make sure the courtroom drama reaches Rs100 crore by the time the second week ends.

The film is reportedly made at a budget of Rs45 crore, but this doesn’t include Kumar's fees. He will have his share in the profit. Therefore, it is necessary for the film to get high returns.
