The Raees actor is reportedly set for a return to his training ground, television, as host of the popular talk series, TEDTalks.

Not that his film career is anywhere near a close, but Shah Rukh Khan is returning to television after a long hiatus. The actor is reportedly working on a planned televised series of the popular TEDTalks.
The Raees star was last on television as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2007, while his stint as the host of the Indian version of Wipeout, Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout was drab. However, this time around, Khan is set to be a host of the televised version of the popular series of talks, TEDTalks.
TEDTalks is a term for a series of videos on successful people from different spheres of life addressing contemporary issues of importance. The acronym TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design. Speaking about the show to a daily, Khan said, "It’s a televised version of TEDTalks. I have been made to understand that it’s something that has not been done before and they want to try out this concept."
Although there is no set date on when the show will air, Khan admitted that the producers and himself have been holding 'focus screenings' to gauge its efficiency. The actor added, "People will share stories about changes in society, in life — whether it’s about the climate, dangerous diseases or to help empower women — and all of this will be integrated. There are some beautiful stories — both Indian and international — which the team is planning to get on one platform and do a nice mix of Hindi and English speakers. I feel it will be a niche show."
Khan has reportedly shot for one episode already and is keen on continuing. As for his own inclination towards TEDTalks, Khan said, "Oh, I love TEDTalks. I love anything that has to do with knowledge. I would like to be a speaker for them sometime if I have something interesting to speak about, that is. I love the whole format, listening to it and learning from it. I am very glad that the channel and the TED team feels I’m good enough to do (host) it."
