More details have emerged from the case of Malayalam actress Bhavana who was allegedly abducted and molested by a gang last night in Kochi. The police have now filed a case of attempted rape against the accused.

As per latest reports, the group of accused was following the actress’s car in a tempo. Near Nedumbassery International Airport in Athani, the tempo reportedly hit the car, after which a brawl ensued. Following this, the men travelling in the tempo forcefully got into Bhavana’s car by pushing the driver, Martin, aside.

They reportedly took the actress hostage and kept driving for about an hour-and-a-half. They reportedly molested the actress and took her pictures and videos before dropping her at Palarivattom junction. Reports suggest that the actress herself drove her way to the house of a producer, who stays nearby.

But there seems to be more than meets the eye. According to the police, the move was planned by the gang of accused two months ago. The police suspect that it was an act of revenge by Sunil Kumar, one of the main accused and former driver, as he was fired from service by Bhavana.

Martin, her current driver who was arrested today morning, is also suspected to be a part of the plan. The police believe that the entire operation was planned and executed with Martin’s knowledge.
