Badrinath Ki Dulhania: Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt face-off with antakshari contest

In a series of videos on the occassion of the release of their latest song, the Badrinath Ki Dulhania co-stars sang verses to some hilarious effect.

Shriram Iyengar

He might share some fabulous chemistry with Alia Bhatt, but Varun Dhawan certainly does not share her vocal abilities. The co-stars of Badrinath Ki Dulhania were busy promoting their latest song, 'Humsafar', on social media and turned singers themselves in the process.

Bhatt first put out a video to Dhawan challenging him to a singing contest. Considering the actress herself is quite the singer, having sung 'Ikk kudi' for Udta Punjab (2015) and 'Samjhawan' in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya (2013), it was quite a cakewalk for her to sing a couple of lines from her latest film.

Never one to stand down from a challenge, Dhawan took up the mic and delivered his own version. Though he was slightly off key, it was a decent effort.

Nevertheless, the cycle was completed gamely by Bhatt who took up the rest of the verse.

The song 'Humsafar' written, sung, and composed by Akhil Sachdeva released today. The song arrives on the tail of the hit remix, 'Tamma Again', which released earlier last week.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is directed by Shashank Khaitan and is scheduled for theatrical release on 10 March.
