Govinda has been making news more for his controversial comments than his comeback film Aa Gaya Hero. The actor recently hit out against the likes of seasoned filmmakers David Dhawan, Sanjay Leela Bansali and even Karan Johar. In positive news for Govinda, good friend Salman Khan will apparently grace the premiere of Aa Gaya Hero which releases on 3 March. The surprising part is that Govinda has claimed that Shah Rukh Khan will also attend the premiere.

Govinda said that the event will be attended by his long-time friend and ‘Partner’ Salman and even by Shah Rukh, as reported by entertainment website BollywoodHungama.com. While speaking to the media last week, Govinda had told reporters how he'd turned down Bhansali's offer to play Chunnilal in Devdas (2002) as he didn't want to play a small role.

Why Govinda snubbed Devdas and didn't watch Barfi!

The 53-year-old actor also stated that Salman remained his only loyal friend in the industry. Given that he was never known to be close to Shah Rukh, Govinda inviting the Raees (2017) actor does come as a bit of a surprise. Is he trying to forge new ties?

In December last year, Govinda and Shah Rukh had an exchange on Twitter where Govinda wished Shah Rukh on winning the Editor's Choice Award for Best Actor for Fan.

Govinda may have sent the invite, but it remains to be seen whether Shah Rukh actually attends the premiere of Aa Gaya Hero.
