Neighbours Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan to team up on screen?

The superstars are reported to come together for a two-hero film soon.

It looks like Akshay Kumar is getting the hang of sharing screenspace. Currently playing the villain to Rajinikanth in 2.0, the Khiladi Kumar is rumoured to be in line for another two hero film alongsided neighbour Hrithik Roshan. The two are reportedly keen on a script that offers equal presence to both the stars.

In a report in DNA newspaper, a source was quoted as saying, "They have found a great script which is perfect and they both have lead roles." The actors have never come together for a film previously, but share a friendly rapport with each other. Even when their films, Rustom and Mohenjo Daro released on the same day last year, it did not see any acrimony.

In a recent interview, Kumar had expressed his interest in such a script saying, "I am open to doing a two-hero film. In fact, I have been approached for one and I am considering it."

Two hero films have not really worked in recent years, with Dishoom (2016) being a very recent example. However, with two stars of the calibre of Kumar and Roshan, the scenario might be very different.

However, it might be a long time before the story actually develops into a film.
