Shankar gets the Cirque De Soleil working on aerial stunts for Rajinikanth's 2.0 

2.0 is slowly motoring up the completion highway. The sequel to the blockbuster Robot (2010) will see Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth return to the screen as villain and hero. The final schedule of the film is underway, and director Shankar has a big action sequence planned with all the three leads involved. 

Having returned from London, Amy Jackson has also joined the shoot and is preparing for the sequence with yoga and core exercises. Speaking to a tabloid, the actress said, "I have shot for 2.0 over 70 days in the last year-and-a-half with Rajini sir. It has been an emotional journey. But now, it's going to be a lot of aerial work and action for my final schedule."

The actress also added that shooting for the stunts were overwhelming. She said, "As I watched the edits and the special effects on Shankar's suggestion, I've realised that this film has completely transformed me as an actor. I could understand better what was required of me while shooting for a 3D camera. I realise how monumental the stunts are going to be and it's overwhelming." 

One of the most expensive films in recent years, 2.0 is reportedly being made on a budget at the excess of Rs300 crore. The makers of the film have also involved the Cirque De Soleil, one of the largest theatrical producers in the world for the shoot. Equipment for the aerial stunt sequence has been rented from the production and choreographers and stunt men have been called in from Berlin. The major action sequence reportedly involves Kumar and Rajinikanth. However, it is the extent of VFX involved that will take fans by a surprise. According to reports, the film crew will spend almost seven months working on the VFX of the shoot  in post production. 

The film is also being shot in 3D cameras, which is a first in Indian cinema. Rajinikanth is expected to complete shooting for the film by March, before starting on his next schedule with Kabali director, Pa Ranjith.
