Valentine's Day is not an official holiday, but the festival of love brought in cheer for Jolly LLB 2. The film saw a 30% jump from its Monday collections to bag Rs8.75 crore nett on 14 February, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com. On Monday, the Akshay Kumar-starrer had bagged a nett of Rs6.75 crore, a 60% drop from the film's collection of Rs19 crore on Sunday.
Made at an overall budget of Rs70 crore, including Rs15 crore for marketing and Kumar’s fees (Rs25 crore), Jolly LLB 2 has so far managed earnings of Rs62.50 crore nett. The film has released across 3,600 screens in India.
There's hope of steady collections on Wednesday and Thursday. A drop is expected on Friday as three films — Dharma Productions' The Ghazi Attack, Shoojit Sircar's Running Shaadi and the Arshad Warsi-starrer Irada — will hit the theatres.
Jolly LLB 2 crossing the Rs100-crore mark will depend on the number of screens that the three new releases get and how each of them perform at the box office.
