Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan get together for a 'once in 25 years' selfie! 

It is a rare occasion for the two big Khans of Hindi cinema - Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan - to be spotted together. In fact, it is a once in 25 years occasion. No wonder then that the latest selfie from Shah Rukh is taking over the internet. The Raees star posed with his long time peer, Aamir Khan, at the 50th birthday party of Ajay Bijli, MD PVR Cinemas, to take a rare selfie. 

Clad in white, both actors looked happy and comfortable in each other's company. Aamir, with his flowing beard, was in character for his role in the upcoming Thugs of Hindostan, while Shah Rukh looked his stylish self. Posting the image on his social media account, Shah Rukh wrote, 'Known each other for 25 years and this is the first picture we have taken together of ourselves.' It certainly got fans reminiscing about the old times, with many sharing old pictures of the two superstars together. 

The picture is certainly not the first picture of the two actors together, but it is their first selfie, and it has found appreciation among both sets of fans. The relationship between the two Khans has always been cordial, though not overly friendly. In the previous season of Koffee with Karan, Aamir had admitted that 'there have been moments of tension with Shah Rukh Khan.' This was compounded by the absence of Shah Rukh at the recent success party of Aamir's Dangal. 

However, both actors seem to have put the rumours to rest with this selfie. Shah Rukh is set to begin work on Aanand L Rai's film, and is currently working on Imtiaz Ali's Rehnuma. Aamir, meanwhile, is getting ready to start shooting for Thugs of Hindostan alongside Amitabh Bachchan. 

Despite the ever present competition between the two, it is nice to see that they still share the equation of friends.
