Remaking old songs is in vogue but very few artistes are able to recreate the same magic. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya sees the music director trio of Amaal Mallik, Tanishk Bagchi and Akhil Sachdeva remaking the 'Tamma Tamma' song from the film Thanedaar (1990). While the music directors will take care of the music, Alia Bhatt and Varun got a dancing masterclass from none other than the original Tamma Tamma lady, Madhuri Dixit.
Inspired by Mori Kante’s Tama Tama Gnononte track, Bappi Lahiri had created an Indian version called Tamma Tamma Loge. It was one of the rare tracks where Sanjay Dutt made an honest attempt to dance. Varun and Alia are good dancers, but they can only get better under the tutelage of Madhuri Dixit.
Dharma Productions tweeted a video wherein Alia and Varun are seen rehearsing their steps for Tamma Tamma. Soon Madhuri Dixit enters the frame teaching the young actors just how to get the moves right.
When the old meets new, it's a fusion that will blow your mind! #TammaTammaAgain out tomorrow at 12pm! @MadhuriDixit @Varun_dvn @aliaa08 pic.twitter.com/OszpTBJuYs

As seen from above, it is Alia who is a quick learner while poor Varun appeared to be exercising more than dancing. A slightly miffed Alia then complained to Dixit that Dhawan does this every time.
The makers have described the 'Tamma Tamma Again' track as fusion that will blow your mind. Well, fans will know just how true it is tomorrow, 11 February, when the song is unveiled at noon.
