Shraddha Kapoor to act with Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan in Thugs of Hindostan?

After making her debut with Amitabh Bachchan in Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti (2010), Shraddha Kapoor is all set to share screen space with him once again in the upcoming Yash Raj Films feature, Thugs of Hindostan (2018). Reportedly, the actress, who is currently filming for the biopic Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai (2017), will break into the big league with a film opposite one of the big three Khans, by acting with Aamir Khan in this eagerly awaited film. Previously, Kapoor acted opposite Aamir’s nephew Imran Khan in Dharma Productions’ Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013), where she did a cameo.

Shraddha worked with Yash Raj Films on her second film, Luv Ka The End (2011) and famously walked out on their three-movie deal by signing on for Vishesh Films’ Aashiqui 2, which boosted her career in a major way. Back in 2014, she clearly mentioned on Karan Johar’s talk show, Koffee with Karan, that she is awaiting a call from her mentor, Aditya Chopra, to tell her he had a movie for her. “Well! I am just waiting for the day when he calls me and tells me, 'Shraddha I want you in a film'. So, fingers crossed...that should happen soon,” she had said on the talk show.

Looks like the opportunity has finally arisen! Reports suggest that Shraddha was called in for a look test and the official announcement will be made soon about her casting in the period film directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel, Confessions of a Thug, Thugs of Hindostan, set in the British Raj, is supposed to start filming soon, with a 2018 Diwali release date. Aamir will also be acting with Amitabh Bachchan for the first time.
