Buzz has it that Banjo (2016) actress Nargis Fakhri has been roped in to star opposite senior actor Sanjay Dutt in Girish Malik’s Torbaaz, as reported by entertainment portal Tellychakkar.com.
Dutt’s comeback film Bhoomi (2017) didn’t yield much at the box office and the actor has since moved on, winding up the shoot of Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3.
The portal quoted a source as saying that Fakhri would be playing a friend of Dutt’s dead wife in the film. The shoot is expected to begin in Kyrgyzstan from 10 December. A source close to Dutt informed that the actor is leaving for central Asia soon.
Torbaaz is said to be based on young suicide bombers in Afghanistan.
“Torbaaz is a universal story so apart from the Bollywood release, we are finalising some big deals with the US team for a global release,” Malik had told Deccan Chronicle newspaper in June this year.
Fakhri was last seen in the Riteish Deshmukh-starrer Banjo last year. Fakhri made her debut with Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar (2011), but has since struggled to establish herself in the industry.
