Director Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai might be high on action, and the two songs from the film seem to be just as explosive. Released last week, the song 'Dil Diyan Gallan' has got 2.3 million views on YouTube, a sign of its wonderful music. In the latest making video of the song, the crew reveals the true magic and charm of shooting for this wonderful song from the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif film.
The video delves into the behind-the-scenes magic that goes into creating such a song. The song, unanimously, hailed by the crew as their favourite song, is written by Irshad Kamil and composed by Vishal-Shekhar. Director Ali Abbas Zafar says, "When it comes you learn about the maturity of the relationship which Tiger and Zoya are living in now."
Maturity aside, the song is a visually beautiful composition. Kaif, who plays Zoya, says, "Ali (Abbas Zafar, the director) wanted to show a certain stillness, a certain happiness, a certain comfort in their togetherness. I found it beautiful."
She was not the only one. The video captures a moment where choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant corrects Salman Khan from wandering off the scene, and Khan replies, "Gaana hi aisa hai." [The song is such]
The actor certainly seems to have enjoyed the shoot. In the sequence in Vienna, the actor can be seen dressed in a tux, and moonwalking across the ballroom floor. While it might not fit in with the visuals of a gorgeous Katrina Kaif in a ballgown and the music, few can stop Khan when he is in the mood for fun.
Composed by Vishal-Shekhar, the song has the rarity of Atif Aslam singing in a low pitch. As the composers say in the video, "You haven't heard him sing in a low tone in a long time."
But not everything went smooth during the shoot of the song. The schedule in Innsbruck faced the familiar terror of blowing winds. The portion of the song which required the two to send off paper lanterns into the sky went awry after the location was set by winds.
Choreographer Merchant says in the video,"I was praying that we should not have wind. We had exceptional wind which made the lantern go everywhere, and the timing had to be co-ordinated."
This did not deter the crowds that thronged the location to catch a glimpse of their favourite star. From the looks of the hits on YouTube, they have certainly approved of the result.
Tiger Zinda Hai will be released on 22 December.
