Sunny Leone to train in sword fighting, horse riding for Telugu period film

Former adult film actress Sunny Leone has been seen in quite a few item numbers in the recent Hindi film, like Bhoomi (2017) and Raees (2017). Leone though will be seen in an altogether different avatar in an upcoming untitled Telugu period war film. For the role, the actress will be learning martial arts, sword fighting, and horse riding. 

“After this movie, I am sure my image will change completely. I have always liked doing action sequences. I was waiting for a script like this only for years. I started preparing for this movie from the minute director V.C. Vadivudayan narrated me the script. I have a special love towards south India, so I am very happy to do a straight Telugu movie. I have a lot of my fans in south India, especially Andra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala,” Leone told IANs.

To be directed by VC Vadivudaiyan, the film will go on floors in February 2018. 

Films that had Leone in the lead role haven't done commercially well. Her latest release Tera Intezaar turned out to be another dud at the box office. Let's hope the audiences in the can help her discover the actress in her.
