Actor Kapil Sharma's Firangi has turned out to be a failure at the box office in the first weekend. The film, directed by Rajiev Dhingra, has managed to earn only Rs6.30 crore in the first three days, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
The opening numbers on Friday were not encouraging at all with just Rs1.80 crore in the kitty. There was no substantial growth the following day as the film collected only Rs2 crore. Sunday saw some growth with the film making Rs2.50 crore.
As per trade sources, Firangi is made at a budget of Rs25 crore, including prints and advertisements. The negative reviews and word-of-mouth have affected the chances of the film.
Sunny Leone-starrer Tera Intezaar also logged in a dismal performance at the box office. The film, directed by Raajeev Walia, managed a paltry Rs1.35 crore in the first three days.
There are no big films till Tiger Zinda Hai hits the theatres on 22 December. This advantage is unlikely to help Firangi and Tera Intezaar.
