What is Akshay Kumar doing for Twinkle Khanna on her birthday?

Akshay Kumar's love for family is well known, but it is the little gestures that add to his image as a family man.

Despite his vastly successful year, the actor religiously took off on his annual holiday with his family to South Africa.

Incidentally, the trip also coincided with Twinkle Khanna's 43rd birthday today and Akshay Kumar shared a lovely picture of himself playing chauffer to his wife on a picturesque drive through Cape Town.

Tweeting the image, the 'Khiladi' wrote, 'Forever making every ride full of adventure and amusement, my favourite companion...for life! Happy birthday, Tina' 

Khanna's birthday falls on the same day as the birth anniversary of her one-time superstar father, the late Rajesh Khanna, who was born in 1942. 

A couple of days ago, the actor posted another image of himself enjoying a quiet day of fishing with his wife for company. 

The actor is expected to return by the new year, in time for the promotions of his upcoming film, Pad Man. 

Directed by R Balki, and produced by Twinkle Khanna's MrsFunnyBones Movies, the film is set to be released on 26 January 2018.

Pad Man is based on one of Khanna's four short stories in her book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, and tells the story of a rural genius who develops a way to produce affordable and hygienic sanitary napkins for women in rural India.
