Box office: Tiger Zinda Hai bags Rs21.50 crore on its first non-holiday

The Salman Khan starrer has so far earned Rs172.75 crore in the first five days. 

Director Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai has continued its earning streak on Tuesday, its first non-holiday. The film, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, minted Rs21.50 crore nett on 26 December, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com. 

After scoring a high opening number Rs34 crore nett on Friday, 22 December, the film finished the first extended weekend (including Monday) with a mammoth figure of Rs151.25 crore nett. 

Tiger Zinda Hai is the most expensive project of Yash Raj Films, with a budget as high as Rs140 crore nett. Therefore, it is vital for the film to keep the earnings high during this week. 

The film's total earning so far stands at a handsome Rs172.75 crore nett and is expected to cross the Rs200 crore mark by the end of this week. 

Salman Khan’s last hit Sultan (2016), which was helmed by the same director, also managed to cross this figure in the first week by reaching Rs208 crore nett. The numbers of Tiger Zinda Hai for today and tomorrow will determine if it would go past this number.
