Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety song: Yo Yo Honey Singh returns with snappy 'Dil Chori Sadda Ho Gaya'

The absence of Yo Yo Honey Singh has been painted over with the rise of Badshah. Now Singh is back to reclaim his throne as the maverick. But the composer-singer looks a bit out of touch with his remix of the Hans Raj Hans classic 'Dil Chori Sadda Ho Gaya' for Luv Ranjan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. 

The film, starring Nushrat Bharucha, Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Singh Nijjar, is yet another romantic comedy triangle featuring the team from Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011).

Taking off from the Hans Raj Hans pop classic, Honey Singh adds his own touch of a rap intro. However, the lyrics lack the punch that made him a star.

With Simar Kaur and Ishers providing the backup, and Shera adding to the lyrics, the song has enough of a peppy 'Badtameez Dil' feel to save it, however.

Set to an engagement party theme, the song has enough of glamour and style to get it going. Aaryan and Bharucha seem naturals, and Sunny Singh adds to the fun feel of the track.

For those unfamiliar with Hans Raj Hans's Punjabi pop that paved the way for Honey Singh, this might be an upgraded introduction to a song from the 1990s. Add to it the sight of Alok Nath dancing around and it has enough to generate a buzz for the audience.

Directed by Luv Ranjan, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is set to be released in the Valentine's Day weekend in 2018. Watch the song below:
