Actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana has praised the new song ‘Aaj Se Teri’ from Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man on Twitter. While doing so, he also revealed that the song’s melody was originally meant for one of his films.
He complimented lyricist Kausar Munir calling the song “behad khoobsoorat [very beautiful]” and went on to share a bit of trivia. “Trivia – this melody was considered for one of my films," Khurrana wrote.

'Aaj Se Teri’, which was released last week, is a touching love song picturized on Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte. The music has been composed by Amit Trivedi and the song has been sung by Arijit Singh.

Khurrana, who had three releases in 2017 with Meri Pyaari Bindu, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, all romances, said “every good piece of art has its destiny. In every good film the songs compliment the narrative. For #Padman this one sparkles.”
The song seemed destined for Pad Man after all.
